shrimp fra diavolo




ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  •  fresh garlic, thinly sliced
  • teaspoon red pepper flakes, plus more for topping
  • tabasco hot sauce 
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 small can of plum tomato and basil italian sauce                 
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, leaves stripped and roughly chopped
  • Kosher salt & black pepper
  • 1/2 cup fresh italian parsley roughly chopped
  • 1/2 white spanish onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 shredded parmesan cheese
  • spaghetti number 12
directions: 
-prepare the sauce first, before everything else.
the sauce is called chipotle marinara sauce.
-Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
add 1 teaspoon garlic & some spanish onion thinly sliced. cook golden brown 
then add the wine, 1 dash red pepper flakes, some tabasco sauce, salt & black pepper
let it cook for 1-2 minutes once the wine boils add the tomato sauce mix it up and put it into a container 
-prepare the spaghetti 
  •  -in a pasta pot with strainer fill it up with water and wait until the water is boiling. 
  • -once the water is hot cook the spaghetti for 11-12 minutes., strain and pour cold water to cool off 
  • -strain until is dried, then put olive oil. the olive oil helps the pasta to not get stack or soggy
  • -once the spaghetti is prepared put it into a container.
  • -now  that you have all these ready you can start cooking your shrimp fra diavolo 
  • -Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook, turning once, until almost cooked through, about 1 minute per side.  
  • -then add sliced onion, 1 dash oregano, chipotle marinara sauce. heat it up and add the spaghetti, parsley, parmesan cheese.
  • place the pasta into a bowl.  top with red pepper flakes & parmesan cheese if desired. enjoy
